4th May Race Day
We are excited to be hosting The Swisse Color Run here at the NJC on Sunday 5th May 2013 from 6:00 AM. As this is such a large event with over 10,000 participants we would like to minimise any distruption to our Race Day Patrons.
Black Caviar Cocktail Event, Saturday 13th April
Saturday 13th April will see Black Caviar race at Randwick. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Newcastle Jockey Club is getting into the spirit with loads of activities at Broadmeadow on the day as we host the Ryan Ansell Investment Solutions Race Day.

Fashions on the Field - Newmarket Race Day
Merran Wiggins Travelmanagers has once again signed on as major sponsors of Fashions on the Field next Wednesday at the Enviropacific Newmarket Race Day. Main prize will be a 2 night stay in Melbourne for the Melbourne Racing Carnival's Derby Day.

Newcastle Jockey Club is proud to announce local firm, Enviropacific as sponsors of Newmarket Race Day on Wednesday 20th March. Enviropacific specialises in environmental engineering and petrochemical services, with over 140 staff nationally. Newmarket Race Day boasts a total prize pool of $304,000.
Mr Geoff Barnett returned as Chairman
At a special meeting today of the new Board of Newcastle Jockey Club, Mr Geoff Barnett was elected as Chairman.

Votes in the election for the 4 positions available on the new Board of Newcastle Jockey Club have been announced and they are: Geoff Barnett Bill Moncrieff Mike Hadaway Rob Dan Nominations for the remaining 3 positions are invited from candidates residing in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie, Maitland or Cessnock local government areas by way of a nomination form, covering letter and Curriculum Vitae.
Golden Slipper Luncheon
Members and their guests are reminded of the Golden Slipper Luncheon to be held in Cheval's Restaurant on Saturday 6th April - from 11:30 am With special guest John Wade who rode the 1977 Golden Slipper winner Luskin Star in the famous race, it will be a great way to spend NSW's biggest race day of the year.

Members of Newcastle Jockey Club are reminded that voting closes tomorrow, Thursday 14th February at 4:00pm, in the Board elections for the Newcastle Jockey Club.
Nominations still open for NEW NJC Board
Newcastle Jockey Club (NJC) is seeking nominations for three positions on the newly restructured Board of Directors. Business people experienced and qualified in law, commerce, construction, marketing and event management are encouraged to apply.
